September 21st, 2016 – Assault of Long Branch Police Officer

 The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the assault of a Long Branch Police Officer early Tuesday morning. The officer was in uniform when he observed flashlights and movement within an abandoned property on the corner of Bath Avenue & Westwood Avenue, Long Branch. The officer approached the property and a foot pursuit ensued.   The officer was found unconscious in the back of the property.  The officer was rushed to an area hospital and is in stable condition suffering from head and neck injuries. 

New Jersey State PBA President Patrick Colligan said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with this officer, his family, and all the officers within the Long Branch Police Department during this difficult time.  In an effort to capture anyone responsible for the assault of this officer, the State PBA is offering a $20,000 reward through the NJ COP SHOT program for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for this assault on a police officer.”

September 3rd, 2016 – Shooting of Atlantic City Police Officer

$20,000 REWARD

The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for shooting an Atlantic City Police Officer early Saturday morning. The officer and his partner were in uniform in a marked police car when they observed three suspicious men near Caesars Casino parking deck. The officer and his partner exited their patrol car and immediately came under gunfire. The officer was struck and his partner returned fire. The officer was rushed to an area hospital where he is in critical condition.

New Jersey State PBA President Patrick Colligan said, “Our hearts are heavy at this hour, but our resolve to captured these suspects remains undeterred. We ask for prayers for the officer, his family, and the Atlantic City Police Department. We are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Atlantic County at 1-800-658-TIPS (8477). October 9th, 2014 – Stabbing of Asbury Park officer

20k Reward offered in attack on Asbury Park officer

$20,000 REWARD

WHEN: October 9, 2014 at 10 p.m.

WHAT: Stabbing of Asbury Park officer 

WHERE: 1248 Washington Avenue, Asbury Park N.J.

 

The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for stabbing Asbury Park Lieutenant David DeSane Thursday night. The lieutenant was in full dress uniform walking down the street when he observed two suspicious men behind an abandoned house on Washington Street. Lieutenant DeSane began to question the men and believed one of the suspects had a gun. Lieutenant DeSane struggled with one of the suspects and was stabbed in the face by the second suspect. Both suspects fled leaving Lieutenant DeSane bleeding at the scene. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for his stab wounds.

New Jersey State PBA President Patrick Colligan said in posting the reward, “An attack on any officer is an attack on every officer. This reward will put pressure on these suspects to surrender before one of their family or friends give them up to get the money. We are just lucky that Lieutenant DeSane did not lose his life in this struggle.” NJ Cop Shot is a program run by the New Jersey State PBA.

September 24th, 2014 – West Deptford Police Officers targeted

NJ COP SHOT program is posting a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for:

In West Deptford, seven high-caliber rounds were fired at the police station at about 4:05 a.m. Tuesday August 12, 2014 in a drive-by shooting. A vehicle police describe as a small, black compact sedan is seen on surveillance video driving through the station’s parking lot twice while the shots are being fired. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Michael Cramer at 856-853-4599, ext. 164. The total reward money in the case has risen to over $27,000 dollars including the money from the NJ COP SHOT program.

April 18, 2014 Shooting at Elizabeth Police on North Avenue

The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for shooting at Elizabeth Police officers Friday afternoon, April 18 2014. 

At around 3 p.m., Elizabeth police officers interrupted a robbery in progress of Bayway Scrap Metal. The suspects fled in U-haul truck and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit the suspects fired at police. The suspects crashed into a police car and the suspects fled. An intensive manhunt captured four suspects but one remains at large.

New Jersey State PBA Executive Vice President Keith Dunn said, “The officers are lucky to be uninjured but we want to send a clear message with this reward. Anyone who would think of shooting at police should know we will put all the resources and manpower necessary to track them down.”
