September 21st, 2016 – Assault of Long Branch Police Officer

20k Reward offered in assault of Long Branch Police Officer
$20,000 REWARD

 The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the assault of a Long Branch Police Officer early Tuesday morning. The officer was in uniform when he observed flashlights and movement within an abandoned property on the corner of Bath Avenue & Westwood Avenue, Long Branch. The officer approached the property and a foot pursuit ensued.   The officer was found unconscious in the back of the property.  The officer was rushed to an area hospital and is in stable condition suffering from head and neck injuries. 

New Jersey State PBA President Patrick Colligan said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with this officer, his family, and all the officers within the Long Branch Police Department during this difficult time.  In an effort to capture anyone responsible for the assault of this officer, the State PBA is offering a $20,000 reward through the NJ COP SHOT program for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for this assault on a police officer.”

The NJ State PBA is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Monmouth County at 1-800-671-400 or to text “TIPPCOP” plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES). NJ Cop Shot is a program run by the New Jersey State PBA.

September 3rd, 2016 – Shooting of Atlantic City Police Officer

20k Reward offered in shooting of Atlantic City Officer
$20,000 REWARD

The NJ Cop Shot program has posted a reward of $20,000 dollars leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for shooting an Atlantic City Police Officer early Saturday morning. The officer and his partner were in uniform in a marked police car when they observed three suspicious men near Caesars Casino parking deck. The officer and his partner exited their patrol car and immediately came under gunfire. The officer was struck and his partner returned fire. The officer was rushed to an area hospital where he is in critical condition.

New Jersey State PBA President Patrick Colligan said, “Our hearts are heavy at this hour, but our resolve to captured these suspects remains undeterred. We ask for prayers for the officer, his family, and the Atlantic City Police Department. We are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Atlantic County at 1-800-658-TIPS (8477). The NJ COP SHOT program is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of these suspects”. NJ Cop Shot is a program run by the New Jersey State PBA.
