On January 30th, 2010 Fairfield Officer Gerald Veneziano was shot.
SUSPECT CAPTURED
Off duty Officer Gerald Veneziano was shot while he attempted to question a motorist. The suspect followed Officer Veneziano for 11 miles as Officer Veneziano drove to work. After shooting the officer the suspect fled the scene leaving the officer gravely wounded.
